Projects commissioned by governmental institutions
- The Millennium Project (a project to widen the use of and the basic infrastructure for Polymer Electrolyte fuel cells systems)
JIA participated in the Millennium Project for five years starting in 2000, and carried out research into the establishment of methods for evaluating the safety and reliability of Polymer Electrolyte fuel cells systems (PEFC) and the formulation of standards for them.
- Millennium Extension Project (a project to widen the use of and the basic infrastructure for solid oxide fuel cells systems
JIA takes part in the Millennium Extension Project, a long-term project underway since 2005, in which we are carrying out research into the establishment of methods for evaluating the safety and reliability of solid oxide fuel cells systems (SOFC) and the formulation of standards for them.
- Research into the effects on combustibility of untreated natural gas
In this research project into the easing of regulation in the gas sector, a three-year project that started in 2004), JIA is conducting research into the safety of gas-burning appliances when the gas used is not treated to compensate for differing heat quantities (which vary according to the country where it is produced).
- Testing of marketed gas appliances
JIA purchases various gas appliances available on the market, and runs checks on their safety.
