Inspection and certification of gas appliances, gas leak detectors and fuel cells
JIA conducts its inspections and certification activities as a fair and impartial certification organization. In line with the philosophy that we are inspecting gas appliances on behalf of the consumers who will actually use them, JIA carries out its work under an inspection and certification system that is compliant with Japanese and overseas requirements. The inspection criteria employed in these activities are objective and were formulated by a committee comprised of people from consumer groups, academia, government and the business sector. The JIA mark, which guarantees compliance with these safety criteria, has earned the trust of Japanese society.
