History

September	1967	Association founded.
February	1968	Tokyo Laboratory established.
March	1968	Osaka Laboratory established.
April	1968	Nagoya Laboratory established.
April	1968	Designated as a inspection agent under law concerning the securing of safety and the optimization of transaction of liquefied petroleum gas.
May	1971	Designated as a inspection organization under the Gas Utility Industry Law.
September	1976	Safety Research Laboratory established.
November	1979	Association designated as a training agent under the Gas Fitting Work Inspector Law.
April	1981	Association designated as an approved inspection agent under the industrial Standardization.
October	1991	Agreement of plant inspection with NSF international.
May	1992	An agreement for cooperative relations and technical exchanges entered into with KGSC (Korean Gas Safety Corporation).
February	1993	An agreement for factory inspection concluded with ATG (Association Technique de l'Industrie du Gaz en France).
June	1993	The JIA-QA Center established.
November	1993	Authorized to the testing organization for the measuring instruments specified by the Measurement Law.
May	1994	An agreement for factory inspection concluded with the BSI testing (British Standards Institution testing).
June	1994	A contract for factory inspection concluded with AFNOR (Association Francais de Normalisation).
September	1994	The JIA-QA Center was certified by The Japan Accreditation Board for Quality System Registration.
October	1994	An agreement for factory inspection concluded with SP (Sverige Provning och Forskningsinstitut).
March	1995	Authorized to the organization for the examination of chief gas engineers specified by the Gas Utility Industry Law.
Jury	1996	JIA-QA Center started Environmental management system assessment and registration under ISO 14001.
November	1996	Agreement of factory inspection concluded with DVGW ( Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V.) .
April	1997	Started activities on Qualification System of Setting Specialist (GSS).
October	1997	Started activities on water supply equipment under the Water Works Law.
August	1998	Accredited as a product certification organization by RvA under ISO/ IEC Guide 65.
October	1999	Accredited as approved inspection organization for gas facilities on the basis of Gas Utility Industry Law.
March	2001	Accredited as conformity assessment body for specified gas equipment and appliances on the basis of Gas Utility Industry Law.
March	2001	Accredited as conformity assessment body for specified LPG equipment and appliances on the basis of Law. Concerning the Securing of Safety and the Optimization of Transaction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas.
February	2003	Accredited as a EPD certification organization by SWEDAC under ISO/ IEC Guide 65.
August	2003	Accredited as conformity assessment body for designated specified products on the basis of Consumer Product Safety Law.
march	2004	Registered as conformity assessment body for specified gas equipment and appliances on the basis of Gas Utility Industry Law.
